Where is the check in??

Well as I discussed in my last post I had to take a quick trip to TX for a friend in need.  I am working on week 3 of C25K and the challenges right now and promise to report back by the end of the week =)

Friends

Last week one of my best friends lost her mother.  From the moment I received the news all I could think about was getting home to be there for her in her time of need.  Thankfully my father was able to help me book a last minute flight to Texas.  When I was there and she told me how glad she was that I was there it made me think, how many people have what I have?  CK, CL, and CH have been some of my closest friends since high school and before.  I have known CL for over 20 years and looking back some of the best memories in my live have been with her and the other C's.  While I have many other really great friends, some of which I would consider very close, the C's are the first ones I want to call when anything happens.  We are always there for each other any way we can be.

While I was visiting we went out to dinner and talked about the "old times".  Our best memories are driving around aimlessly for hours listening to music and dancing in the car =).  I love that we have always stuck together through it all - weddings, divorces, engagements, moving, new jobs, and even a baby!  At the end of the day I always know they will be there for me no matter what and I consider them my family.

CK you are in my thoughts and I am only a call away if you need any thing!

How about you?  Do you have any friendships like this?

It's time I confess.....

My pinterest love affair!  I have tried so many new things since joining this wonderful site (if you live under a rock and don't know about it here is the link - http://pinterest.com/ ).  I will try to remember to photograph and post about my pinterest adventures because I have seriously learned so many neat things from this site!

Tonight's dinner is made up of things from pinterest!

(sorry no pics because I am way to lazy to get my camera out right now)
I am going the easy rout on the veggies and just using a frozen steam bag of broccoli.

I also found this great de-clutter calendar on there that I have been using.  I might be a month behind, but I am still trying right lol! It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend here so maybe I will break out the camera and try to practice a little.  Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Just to clarify....

The challenges I mentioned in my last post seemed to confuse a few people, but do not be alarmed, I am by no means doing 100 push-ups, 200 sit ups, and 200 squats 3 times a week.  The goal of the challenge is to work UP TO 100 & 200.  I have ZERO upper body strength so needless to say I am starting on the lowest level of the push-up challenge.

And just in case you are interested here are the links......

Starting Over

So I failed miserably at my blog and my fitness goals.  Here is to a new beginning, right!  This week I started the C25K (again) and I am also doing three 6 weeks challenges - 100 Push-ups, 200 squats, 200 sumo squats, 200 sit-ups, 200 Russian twists.  The good thing about the challenges is that they only take about 30 min for each workout so it will be easier to stick with =)  I am also getting back on the eating better train too.  I will not be doing a weekly weigh in, but I will be doing a check in at 3 weeks.

I am also starting to get back into photography again and with spring just around the corner there will be lots of beautiful things to take pictures of =)
